Somatic Therapy Session

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that works with the nervous system, movement, breath, sensation, and awareness. It bridges the connection between mind and body, supporting you to gently explore your internal experiences and release stored tension, emotion, or trauma. It’s not about fixing, but about being with what is—curiously and compassionately.

What are the Benefits of Somatic Therapy?

  • Increased body awareness and self-regulation

  • Greater emotional resilience and capacity

  • Healing from trauma and stress without re-traumatization

  • Improved nervous system balance

  • Reconnection with pleasure, intuition, and presence

  • More agency, clarity, and embodied self-trust

  • Cultivation of self-love and inner safety

What Does a Session Look Like With Me?

A session with me is client-led and attuned to your body’s pace. We begin by arriving together—often through grounding or a body scan. From there, we follow what arises: that may be movement, sensation, breath, touch, guided inquiry, or creative exploration. I may gently offer prompts, but I hold the space for you to follow your own body's wisdom. There’s no way to "do it right"—this is a space where everything is welcome, and we follow your learning edge with care and curiosity.

Why Work With Me?

I offer somatic therapy sessions that are informed by deep study, personal embodiment, and an integrative background in yoga, ayurveda, meditation and creative arts. I bring a warm, intuitive, and present-centered approach that is both trauma-aware and grounded in practice. My sessions support you not only to feel safe but to reconnect with your aliveness, intuition, and truth.

Whether you’re navigating a life transition, recovering from physical or emotional pain, or simply want to feel more you, each session is designed to offer you tools and insights that support lasting change and can stay with you for life.

How often do I need to see you to notice a change?

There is no required number of sessions it is completely dependent on you and your needs- a one off session could equip you with all that you need to move forward, or maybe a few sessions will be more suitable for you. There is no lock in expected number of sessions - you can see me once and never again, fortnightly for a year, or three sporadic sessions over five years… there is truly no right or wrong.

My goal as a therapist is to hold space for you and equip you with the tools you need to go forth with your life.
