Tattoo as Therapy- an integrative experience

I am over the moon to announce this extension to the tattooing practice that I offer.

In my almost six years of tattooing, I have witnessed the realms of reasons people come in for tattoos - tattoos as celebrations of assertion, identity and self-empowerment, or monumenting moments of grief, post-break up, or exertion of control and a play with permanency.

Obviously getting a tattoo doesn’t always have to have a deep meaning - they are fun and certainly can and should be undertaken simply for the fun and joy they and the experience of tattooing provides.

But I have listened to too many transformative conversations and heard “this is cheaper than therapy” and “this is life changing” too many times to ignore the fact that there are ways of extending the tattoo experience. This sentiment showed me a gap—between the transformative potential of the tattooing experience and the deeper desire for sustained inner change. Some people aren’t looking for just a tattoo but to be seen, supported and held in their shifts.

This is the space I now offer to hold.

What we do in a session is flexible and personalized to what you’re wanting in this space.

I want to do this because I have seen that so many of my clients just really need space and validation from their tattoo - this in addition to self-empowerment and autonomy seems to be such a core reason why people get tattoos.

It is my understanding that tattoos are an external mark for a desired internal shift, and whilst tattoos certainly support this process, I want to offer other tools to sustain the changes you feel or want to feel in a tattoo session over a longer period of time than just a one-off expansive day.

Thus I am offering more space .

Alongside tattooing, I now offer integrative sessions as an optional add-on or separate service—designed to support you before, after, or in place of your tattoo experience. These sessions are rooted in my training as a somatic therapist, Ayurvedic therapist, and 700-hour certified yoga teacher, and are completely tailored to what you need on the day.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
